So your pipe is not below the footer you’ve fashioned with hard clay? Are you concerned with mud clogging your pipe? If not, how is this prevented?

Do you place your drain tile (pipe) at the bottom of the footer or below? And if below do you have a problem with getting clogged by mud?

I have stone foundation. What is cost to address this

So using AMES Blue Max rubber paint on my basement walls isn't a good idea. I don't have a water problem but if I decide to finish my basement I don't want to deal with musty smells and possibly mold behind the walls. I run my basement dehumidifier at 40% humidity, 8 year old home. No odors, but similar basements have odors in our development. Your thoughts? Great videos! just subscribed.

I appreciate your very thorough videos, I have a company similar to yours. It is about doing the basement waterproofing right, even if it takes more effort to achieve a totally dry basement. This big franchise companies are about making money and ability to make things very simple to replicate for their franchisee's and neglecting the real process of waterproofing. Foundation cracks must be injected with either polyurethane or epoxy or excavated on the outside with a proper waterproofing membrane.

The "Slurry" chemical sealant you mentioned, is there any reason why the outside of basement walls are not coated with this at the time of new construction?

I don’t get it so if the USA has all this building codes why do they build in this moisture issue in to their homes? Why aren’t this gutters and drainage systems already build in to the foundation design right off the bat?

Thanks for the video. Can you tell me the name of the product that was brushed into the crack, and for what purpose? It seems like it seals some of the cracks. I purchased RadonSeal for crack repair, and it says "do not work the adhesive(seems like the product you brushed into it) into the crack, just paste over the surface" so the polyurethane will flow into the cracks.

this is one of the reasons the whole housing market is going to crash again. everything is a mess for buying a home than starting from scratch its crazy

So -I did put internal waterproofing frenchdrain with sump pump. Next, walls, i was going to use dryloc on them then paint them-you are saying no dryloc- then what do you reccomend?

This is great information every one should hear. I tell people all the time, first step to meliorating water in the basement is to deal with drainage above. Gutters, down spouts, pitch, drains etc. Get that water away from the excavation zone

Problem: Water still moves through the wall! Moisture should NEVER enter the home. It needs to be remediated on the exterior!! Yes, that means correcting what was done wrong when built, AND and repairing all other damages that were created since then!!

I have an interior drainage system similar to yours with a sump pit. I have exterior foundation drain system around the perimeter. The foundation was poured. They used forms 36" wide with a brick pattern on the inside for the foundation wall. Water seeps in the "seems" of the wall. Every 36 inches. Possible cold joints between pours? How do I stop that? The sump system appears to work because the pump runs often during and after a rain storm.

I have a structural clay block foundation. Would you ever recommend running the drainage dimple board up to ground level or would the crystalline mortar coating be a better fit

For basements with minor water inlet, could only applying superslurry to floor and walls suffice? I dont think the full drainage channel would be necessary. And I wouldn't be interested in digging out the exterior of the foundation. I wonder if it could be used like an alternative to DryLok.
